My Solution which worked for me. Turn off your WiFi and then restart the app on your mobile data.
App crashes when I try to pay using ‘Pay by bank app’ I want to pay using my main banking app through the HSBC App.

I am having repeated failures of the Android version of you banking app. I have to keep re-registering it. After doing so it works unless I add fingerprint recognition. That sometimes works for a while but then fails and I have to go through the whole long-winded process of starting from scratch. I must have done it over 10 times now – even fully uninstalled the app and re-registered.
