communication with the extension failed. I worked with an Apple Technician and wasn’t able to download it either….we deleted the app, downloaded the most updated version to my Mac and still not able!!!! I have printed my albums since forever and now I can’t access the APP!!! WHAT CAN I DO
This is my problem as well. Was told to install AppCleaner, delete the app and reinstall. It didnt work!!

When I click on a photo in a Mimeo book to edit it, it goes to the wrong photo.

communication with the extension failed. The app is up to date so not sure what is the problem. i have been working on a project for awhile… so very disappointed.
I have exactly the same problem.
I have an iMac that runs macOS Catalina version 10.15.7. Ever since I updated my computer I have not been able to connect iPhotos to Mimeo and get the error message “Communication with the extension failed.” I have tried rebooting the computer, and getting the most recent Mimeo App on my computer. Neither worked.
Same for me with Catalina 10.5.7 and have uninstalled and reinstalled. It’s broken.
