Existing RW8 site cannot be modified (text areas do not allow any input). I have just upgraded to a new Mac Mini and restored everything from an older iMac.
The problem was present on the iMac and it is again there on the Mini.
It does not seem to be caused by the site file itself, because it happens also when I create a new project from scratch.
Tried to reinstall from scratch (on the old iMac) many times, to no avail.
The site is modifiable ONLY from another computer (a macbook) but this is very cumbersome because my main machine is supposed to be the iMac->mac mini
My RW ist 8 und my Theme is Marvel
I put the finished website in a folder on my computer to check the functions. The navigation does not work. The individual pages cannot be accessed or called up.
I found out what the problem is. The latest version was not compatible anymore with my 10.15.7 version of the OS. I downloaded RW 8.7 and manually transferred the website to older version. I still had some problems due to the fact that .png files are not recognised anymore and had to search all images including web logo and replace the offending ones with .jpg. Now all uploaded and works perfect again.
I started a new project, still called “untitled” but don’t seem to be able to give the project a name. I don’t seem to be able to save the project and “save as” does not respond either. The software is properly licensed and registered.
