Hi, I’m using your app on an android device. At some point, while working on a sketch, the canvas went blank and my work was gone. I suspect I may have accidentally clicked the erasor tool twice, but now I can’t undo. Is there anything I can do to get it back? Thank you!

I have TS Android installed on Samsung Galaxy S4 and Note 8. I love the ‘feel’ of the app but it’s unreliability in terms of crashing makes it an extremely difficult program to use (or recommend). In my experience with the Android version (bought it when it first came out), every update is a crapshoot when it comes to improving the crash frequencies or lock ups. Example, I just installed the latest Dec. 2021 update yesterday and now I am experiencing a familiar lock up symptom I thought had been fixed in previous updates.
Some repeatable observations I will share here.
If you start up and the screen is stable, and you tap with the S-pen, the color picker overlay pops up and locks the app. Sometimes, after this, you can still move the cursor around, but nothing gets drawn. And the only way out of this lock-up is a brief power button screen off, resume, and then use the system buttons (with a bottom screen drag-up) to return to home screen, and then check running apps, and drag it off. Sometimes this doesn’t even work and the only way back is a complete power down and reboot.
If I shut off in TS options, the switch that allows users to pop-up the color selector on a long press, it prevents the color overlay from appearing on the first pen-down after startup. Most of the time.
I have tried just simply waiting once the drawing opens on app startup, for various length of time (up to, say, a minute) and this does not seem to affect the crash evoked by an S-pen touchdown.
So I tried something different. I made the first stroke of a drawing, with a finger instead of the S-pen, and was surprised to see that it actually drew fine. However, if I drew a few strokes with a finger and then brought in the S-pen, lock-up occured on the first pen-down stroke. I’m now trying to see if I wait longer after a finger-drawn stroke, if this fixes that action, and without accurate timing data, that seems to be the case. Most of the time.
Alll this seems to point to a problem with the initial connection between the S-pen data and the app.
The other major crash source, other than start-up, that I see in every version (some worse than others) is when working with wet brushes. Too many strokes, too quickly, seem to tempt fate and can lead to a lock up. But more commonly, any attempt to dry the applied wet strokes after a certain number and/or speed, seems to result in the drying bird pop-up to go into an endless spin.
If I then use power to shut off and restart the app, the drawing where the drying failure occured is then corrupted, often displaying in the gallery as a solid black thumbnail.
I sincerely hope that the dev team can fix this stuff. For me, the app is a delightful sketching experience– when it is working! And I am sick of constantly revising my Google Play reviews from 1 to 4 stars and back again with each successive attempt at updates.
I think that the market for this app is not as broad as other more popular drawing/paint apps because, for the price–which is about twice as much as more full-featured apps, it has fewer tools and features, and a growing reputation for crashing!
But even if things were working smoothly on Android, the persons most interested in this app are going to be the people who want an app that captures the ‘feel’ of sketching/drawing/painting with natural art media. Like me, they are willing to invest more to achieve that. I’m less interested in the quantity of tools, I have almost no use for filters, and I don’t like competing with UI complexity to get to the ‘zone’ I like to work in.
To this end, TS has tremendous potential. But please, do your fans and your sales, a big favour and work out these bugs quickly. Most people do not have my patience at sticking to something like this that shows a lot of ‘promise’ but not much in terms of real workable app performance.

I have a new M1 Mac and purchased Tayasui sketches Pro, when using a certain tools at full screen canvas the app crashes so often that it become annoying. Any solution to this?
