waffle doesn’t open

I play on an IPad and since the latest update, the letters get hung up, jump to spots that I didn’t intend for them to go, or most frustrating, just will not replace the letter that I do want it to replace. (Same issue as previously posted by another player a few months ago. Is there a solution?)
I cannot find a way to login so that I can accumulate playing history and streak data.
App opens in wrong aspect ratio, small and to upper left of screen. This results in the finger placement on the tiles being wrong and you end up moving wrong tiles. After restart, it’s correct then after a game is played, it reverts to wrong ratio. Uninstalled and reinstalled the app with exact issues.
I found one other person on a forum with this exact problem but no solution was offered. See below as this was explained perfectly. Although my spectrum ratio ratio is smaller and to the upper left.
